What does the LipLase™ Treatment feel like?
LipLase™ treatment is quick (approximately 20 minutes) and comfortable. Patients do not require any numbing, however if you would like we can numb your lips for a few minutes prior to the treatment. Many patients say it feels like hot water droplets on your lips. You may feel heat for up to 30 minutes after the treatment. The great news is there is no down time or risk of bruising.
What Can You Expect Following the Treatment?
Patients are encouraged to use a moisturizing lip balm consistently for 48 hours post-treatment. Lips may shed a dead layer of skin approximately 2 days post-treatment, before revealing fuller and smoother appearance.
How Many Treatments Do You Need?
For optimal results, it is recommended to receive at least three or four treatments, spaced 3-4 weeks apart. Since this process stimulates the natural production of collagen, maintenance treatments are helpful for longer lasting results.
